Corporate Vehicle Rentals (CVR), the corporate rental arm of fleet management specialists CLM, is seeing a surge of interest in its flexible mini-lease solution: this provides rental vehicles for three, six or 12 months as corporate customers seek to avoid being locked into costly long-term contracts.

Typical vehicle leasing contracts are for two, three or four years, with significant penalties for early termination or crippling excess mileage charges. Mini-leases however offer the provision of a brand new vehicle for a known period and without the need to commit to a long-term contract.

The mini-lease concept is aimed at cutting costs for companies and, as there are no contracts or lease agreements involved, the mini-lease offer itself is very competitively priced and extremely cost effective – with no expensive exit penalties.

“For firms in the process of hiring new staff and needing short term vehicles to cover their probationary period, or for those companies unwilling to commit to expensive long-term contracts, the flexibility of our mini-lease offering is proving very attractive,” said Steve Cottrill, Rental Sales Manager at CVR (above).

“We are seeing a surge of interest from corporate customers for whom the concept is ideal in meeting their current transport and mobility requirements.

“The mini-lease concept is intended to help companies avoid locking themselves into long-term contracts which they may not ultimately need but which can be very costly to exit from.

“At the same time, rental costs are very competitive and there is a very wide choice of vehicles available. CVR has a significant pool of vehicles available for mini-lease, so sourcing vehicles couldn’t be any easier,” says Steve.
